Customer Summary Works Great Just What I Was looking For
Customer Full Review I spent way to many hours pouring over sites and reviews looking for a dock for my new itouch. I saw some cheaper and many much more expensive than this one. I wanted a dock that I liked looking at. One that would charge my itouch both on A.C. power (while computer is off) and while hooked to the usb computer cable syncing with itunes. Also decided I wanted a remote. The remote need not be fancy just basic functions. I liked the looks of this one and it did everything I needed so I bought it hoping for the best. Shipping was faster than I expected (less than a week) It came in perfect new in box condition. It didn't have much in the way of instructions, but this isn't rocket science here.My unit is the black finished metal (aluminum). Very sturdy and solid. I hooked up everything, but not the A.C. part of the unit because I didn't have another extension cord handy. When I turned it all on it kept making thumping noises thru my speakers. I discovered by getting an extension cord and plugging in the A.C. cable it became totally quiet. So you need to be sure and hook up the A.C. cord even though it still works without it, you need to plug it in. The remote is very basic just volume, pause and switch to the next/last track functions , but that's all I care about. If I need more I can lean forward a foot or so and change it on the itouch. The remote is white, a black one would be nice to match the black dock, but hey it is easier to find being white. I have not hooked up the video portion and don't know if I will bother with it, it's just not what I wanted this for, but it has a plugin for your cable if you want that. I am very pleased with this so far and since I'm the first reviewer I wanted to get this on the site as some help if you are looking for a dock too. I would have felt more confident if someone had bought this first:-) So 1st review is this is excellect I like it and give it 5 stars!!
