Customer Summary Best. Case. Ever.
Customer Full Review This is the best case I could hope for for my iPod Classic 80G. It fits very snugly. It protects the screen and, well, everything except the scroll wheel with strong, clear polycarbonate plastic. It has, supposedly, shock-absorbing rubber around the edges. I have not dropped my iPod, and hope never to, but it's nice to know there is some protection.
I am glad there is nothing covering the wheel, as the wheel on the classic has some sensitivity issues that are no problem at all with this case.
There are openings for the controls and ports. There are also two openings where a belt clip attaches. I could do without those, as I don't use a belt clip, but they don't bother me. I do find that some dust gets in through the openings, but that is a minor annoyance compared to the scratches and scuffs that started accumulating on the back the moment I opened the iPod package. I'm not super-picky about having a pristine device, but I also don't like screen scratches.
I only tried one other case, actually a silicone sleeve. It was loose and collected dust. It also did not protect the screen. This case was precisely what I was looking for after the disappointment of the sleeve.
I cannot recommend this case enough.
