Customer Summary pretty good for the price, but not perfect...
Customer Full Review This is the first case I have bought for my 80GB iPod Classic, but am thinking about investing in another one. It was cheaper than a lot of the other cases I saw, but looked pretty solid with its clear acrylic construction. I like how it covers every inch of the iPod surface, including the click wheel and screen, only leaving openings for the crucial access points (dock connector, headphone outlet, and hold button). Manipulating the click wheel through the thin plastic feels a little weird at first, though I guess you get used to it--it's still pretty responsive, but the texture just doesn't feel nearly as smooth as the original click wheel surface itself. There's a little more friction, and the center button has a bit of a raised bubble over it.. I guess this plascticy feeling is the trade-off that must be made for having complete protection.

This product's biggest flaw is the ease with which the cover comes off when your iPod is accidentally dropped. For most everyday use, this is not a big danger, and the case serves its function as advertised: the hard acrylic will protect the surface against almost anything... as long as it stays on. It is for putting your iPod in your pocket without worrying about dust and scratches. It is lightweight, durable and fairly cheap. Just be forewarned: all it takes is one accidental droppage in the wrong place, and your iPod can still be easily damaged. The first time I got it into my car, it slipped out of my hand and hit the gearshift. The case flew apart immediately, and my pod ended up on the floor of my car, thankfully right-side up. Even if the headphones are plugged in, the top part of the case can still come off upon sudden impact. :( The sides could always be taped to make the case more secure (which I may end up doing instead of buying a different case), but this would just accentuate the poor design and diminish the aesthetic value.

I also wasn't sure why Belkin chose to include both wide and thin trays in the same package for either the 80GB OR the 160GB Classic models, as I am certain most customers will throw the extra tray away, resulting in a lot of wasted acrylic. That bugged me a little too.
